The JitterBugs are a Jump'n'Jive
Swingin' combo that takes the sound and feel and puts it all together
in a way that grabs you, daddio. They can whip up a dance floor
frenzy just like outta some movie. It's a scene! Big vocals, horns
a'plenty and swingy rhythms that do it up just right. This band
is jumpin' with a solid 8.
The JitterBugs offer high energy
performance and "now" arrangements of the Swing classics.
Dig.... Louis Jordan, Colin James, The Nat King Cole Trio, Big
Voodoo Daddy, Louis Prima, Sinatra...
The JitterBugs hit the mark. This combo is the real thing. They've
got the sound, the look and the feel of the Swing Scene at its
best. All the coolest tunes from Duke Ellington to Brian Setzer
and everything in between. Crazy.
Check out some of the REVIEWS.....
"The JitterBugs are
one wigged out, hep act that really cooks, daddy. They're Oceans
11, a chilled martini, some swinging chicks, Frank and Dean and
a real gone tux, all rolled into one jump and jive sound."
- Linda Barnard, Londoner editor, The London Free Press
"They swing, jump,
bop and roll. Their sound has a lot of class but it ain't stuck
up. It's so very dance-able, Mabel. ....these JitterBugs are hi-fi
deluxe."
- Brian Smith, Second City
"Simply awesome, I
recommend them again and again to clubs and event planners and
they always deliver"
- Sheri Gay, Owner/Instructor,
Danceline Studios, Hamilton
"The JitterBugs diverse
musical range meant that everyone at the gala was up and enjoying
the music. For a large event like this the band's flexibility
ensured the guests' maximum enjoyment."
- Sharon Foulon, Make a Wish Gala Committee Chair
"This is a great combo
to dance to. They seem to have all the right rhythms at all the
right tempos to make the dance floor come alive. There are not
many bands that can get it so right, and it's great to see the
real thing".
- Mike Evans, Dance Instructor, University of Western Ontario

Festival mixes Surprises with longtime
favourites
Take a bow Ken Palmer. You've
done a great job booking the musicians for the 27 year old Home
County Festival this year. It certainly hasn't been the same old
stuff.
There have been some new faces and some big surprises, but, hey,
isn't that what an artistic director should do?
Sure, there have been familiar faces like Valdy, who closed the
bandshell last night. Valdy has always been a sure-fire crowd
pleaser at Home County, but the best thing about this festival
so far has been the unexpected.
Like The Black Holes and The JitterBugs, two London bands that
aren't by any stretch of the imagination "folk"acts.
The purists will probably assail you Ken, but these bands scored
highly with most of the public Friday night, especially The JitterBugs,
a tight classy band who dress in black like hitmen and play the
best jump, jive and swing in the region. They had people dancing
in front of the bandshell in numbers never seen at Home County
before.
BONUS...
The JitterBugs offer professional "Swing Dance Instruction"
as an optional part of their live performance package. Your patrons
or guests will be swingin' like crazy in no time.
