New Hard Drive with Modifications
The manufacturer’s warranty will be validated (at the place of purchase†) by the company that modified the hard drive originally.

The manufacturer’s warranty will be voided by the manufacturer itself due to the modifications (non-reversible) made by the above mentioned hard drive modification company, and are unlikely to endorse any modifications to their product. These modified hard drives may be more subject to EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) than a hard drive without such modifications. Speakers, cell-phones, CRT monitors, CD/DVD players, TV, VCR, Radio, amplifiers, and even simple power cords are capable of emitting some form of EMI’s. |
The hard drive will be guaranteed under the same warranty conditions & time period as given by the manufacturer itself. All hard drives that are returned must be tested (
as per manufacturer’s software and testing methods, else by similar methods available).Further modifications by a 4th party
(s), removal of any seals or screws, electronic or cosmetic alterations, or willful damage of the Hard Drive, will likewise void this warranty agreement.It is the consumer’s responsibility to check and ensure the background EMI is at a safe level for proper usage, and that their hardware can support the hard drive type and size, and that the cables are of good working condition.
It is also the consumer’s responsibility to check and ensure that the hard drive is not subject to excessive heat, or excessive moisture and that the proper cleaning agents and cloth are used during cleaning.
Due to the nature of the manufacturer’s warranties the cost of modification
(s) may be refunded in part or in full, whilst the cost of the hard drive (as per manufacturer’s warranty) may be refunded in part or in full. The right to simply replace the hard drive (with a hard drive of equal or greater size; manufacturer or OEM products at warranty validator’s discretion) with or without any modifications is reserved. The right to refund only the cost of modifications (in part or in full) may be invoked if the cost of the hard drive exceeds the cost of the modifications. On the grounds that the profits & any subsequent hidden warranty fees on the sale of the hard drive, be of the manufacturer’s whom is not affiliated with, nor generous of any said warranty fees unto, the hard drive modification company. The right to not validate any warranty on any hard drive that is 3 years old or more is reserved.†
The place of purchase is not responsible to validate the warranty, ultimately the final decision is left to the company that modified the hard drive, based on the manufacturer’s warranty and testing methods. The place of purchase may act as a 3rd party (neutral) and may initially test, and hold the hard drive until it can be retrieved. Or the place of purchase may refer the customer directly to the modification company. Either method is seen as a valid means of hard drive retrieval for the purpose of warranty testing, whereupon a decision, or return of hard drive, or compensation may be given directly to the customer, and may be accompanied with a brief report of the findings.
This is the initial release of the New Hard Drive Warranty and may change in time.
