108. Alta Mae JOHNSTON
Alta Mae Schneider Nee Johnston was born in Oliver B.C. Nov. 28 1927, She was
the eldest of Levi and Dora's six children.
She graduated from high school in Armstrong B.C. in 1945 and attended
Victoria Normal Sckool, graduating in 1946. in 1950 She married Wilford Max
Schneider in Knox United Church, Armstrong, B.C.
Wilf worked as a logger in Frazer Lake, B.C. where Alta was teaching school
at the time.
They have three children, Edwin Lawrence, Virginia Lynn and Cynthia Louise.
Alta retired from teaching in 1982 after 30 years, Wilf retired in 1988 as
Superintendent of Bond Brothers Sawmills.
They have resided in Vanderhoof, B.C. since 1962 and are still there, they
enjoy fishing, hunting and gardening.
