Dear Hiking Enthusiasts,
You will find resources to edify and enthrall, teach and tempt, instruct and impress. Greg Vincent is a long-time hiker and hike leader who, being retired from the rat race, spends a fair amount of time out on the trails. Which trails? Fortunate enough to live in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, Greg is often on the Bruce Trail, the oldest marked hiking trail in Canada. Greg is prepared to share his knowledge and experience gained on the trail. So check out the opportunities listed below.

In the winter of 2012 I volunteered to write a few articles for the Grand Valley Trails Association's newsletters. The writings are about my favourite hiking locations.

Greg's Vacations Available as PowerPoint Presentations
For the past few years I have conducted small group hiking holidays in various locations such as the White Mountains, New Hampshire and in Scotland, Ireland, Wales and England. For the walking tours to the United Kingdom, arrangements have been done by Judy Anger at Goliger's TravelPlus, Waterloo (519-741-0770 ext 246 or 1-800-465-4437). Our friend and guide extra-ordinaire, Dave Southall, who lives in Port Rush, Northern Ireland, drives us around when we are visiting. The groups usually consist of a maximum of 12 to 13 people (the passenger limit of a hired van). Some of these excursions have been recorded in the form of PowerPoint presentations. >>> The PowerPoint files may be downloaded here.
The Right Stuff
This is a series of short articles by Greg Vincent describing what a novice user might need to know to make a first attempt at hiking, or other outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, more enjoyable. Articles cover the following topics.
