These nine murals are part of the project that won the Blair L. Sadler International Healing Arts Award, which is awarded by the Society for the Arts in Healthcare, who are located in Washington, D.C. The challenge with this mural project was to reflect the philosophy of the Child And Family centre and transform all four floors of an old drab building into a child-friendly atmosphere to enhance the experience of both patients and staff.
