 - PARTICIPATE. -The more letters of protest that the Ontario government receives, especially from AMERICAN sport fisher-folk - the better! 

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY - LOBBY YOUR STATE POLITICIANS - ask them to pressure the Ontario government - on your behalf - to stop commercial fishing on the Canadian side of Lake Erie - including any form of netting done by indians/natives. 

GET INVOLVED - take your concerns to your fishing/sportsmen's clubs, take up petitions, and send them to both the Ontario and your State governments. 

DON'T LOSE YOUR FOCUS!Be aware that the Ontario government is a huge bureaucratic giant, and many of the people in this entity, like their political boss's, are masters of deception. They're going to hit you with facts and figures that'll suggest that commercial fishing is not only a wonderful occupation, but they will try to convince you that commercial fishing is NEEDED. 

When they lay this crap on you remember BBB = Bullshit Baffles Brains - STAY FOCUSED! Don't waste your time disputing their statements - they've got mega high paid people to crunch numbers - in support of the commercial fishing industry; albeit most of the original numbers are taken from the commercial fishing industry itself, not a non-partisan or independent fact gathering agency. THE BOTTOM LINE MUST BE - TO STOP COMMERCIAL FISHING, AND NETTING OF FISH BY INDIANS/NATIVES. 

THE MOST IMPORTANT/SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO; BOTH AS INDIVIDUALS, AND ORGANIZED GROUPS, SUCH AS FISH & GAME CLUBS - IS TO LOBBY YOUR  US AND STATE POLITICIANS TO PRESSURE ONTARIO POLITICIANS TO STOP COMMERCIAL FISHING, AND ANY NETTING OF FISH FROM LAKE ERIE BY INDIANS/NATIVES 

Be aware also that our Ontario government is a gruff opponent. They've already 'beaten' our Doctor's Union, some of the most highly educated people in Ontario - then they 'whipped' the teachers union - so little chance you and I will have against these people of strong 'political will'. But - the bigger they are - the harder they fall - so take comfort in this. The only way to stand up to them is by having US and STATE politicians pressure  them with a united stand against commercial fishing, and netting of fish by Indians/Natives in Lake Erie - stay focused - NOTHING ELSE WILL DO - no concessions - no giving in - no political trickery or deceptions.
