Sweden, Holland, Australia and New Zealand are all Canadian, and were
exported by Donaldson International in the 1970's and 1980's.
Well over 95% of the swine genetics in Cuba are Canadian.
90% of all of the Canadian genetics in China were supplied by Donaldson
International.
Donaldson International has shipped thousands of pigs, and helped set up
genetic selection and management systems to over 45 countries worldwide.
The Canadian swine genetic evaluation program, developed at the University
of Guelph, Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (B.L.U.P.). is being used in
Denmark, Australia, China and by many multinational breeding companies
The DNA test for Porcine Stress Syndrome (P.S.S.) was developed at the
University of Guelph and the University of Toronto; yet another Canadian
development.

All Canadian nucleus herds are participating in a herd health program,
where the health status is meticulously monitored on a regular basis.
These farms will be free of specific pig diseases such as:
- Dysentery
- Atrophic Rhinitis
- Mange
