
Donaldson International Livestock Ltd., working in cooperation with the
Canadian Livestock Institute, has successfully hosted and trained livestock
specialists from Mexico, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, China, Brazil and Chile.
Jon L. Myers, the President and Educational Coordinator of the Canadian
Livestock Institute has thirty years of experience as an educational
administrator. Through this experience are accrued the capabilities to
deal with the complexities of curriculum building and application, the
coordination of program delivery, scheduling of classroom and practical
in-the-field or in-the-barn instruction, timetabling, coordinating travel
schedules and transportation arrangements, personnel matters, conflict
management and all other matters pertaining to the management of time and
personnel. The Canadian Livestock Institute provides courses and training
in all facets of the Canadian livestock industry to clients in countries
who have entered or who may enter into agreements leading to the export of
Canadian livestock. This training will improve the viability,
profitability and success of any operation.
The Canadian Livestock Institute works closely with the top Canadian
livestock industry professionals in all areas of nutrition, genetics, herd
management, engineering, environmental control, slaughtering and
processing, including carcass evaluation and grading. Individuals trained
include all levels of workers, from herdsman to geneticists, veterinarians,
milk testers, farm mangers, semen production and processing specialists,
nutritionists, and various college, university and breed association
personnel. The training objective in every instance is to create a
course specifically tailored to the expressed needs of the international
student or his/her sponsor.
