MATT CASSIDY & DAVID WARRACK

MATT CASSIDY - Singer

Matt is a native of Woodstock and a graduate of the Sheridan College Musical Theatre Program. He was last seen onstage in The World Premiere of The Lord Of The Rings in Toronto as part of the ensemble and played Aragorn twenty-five times. This coming year he will be joining the company of The Stratford Festival where he will be in Oklahoma! and Pentecost. 

 

DAVID WARRACK - Piano

David has been musical director for more than 250 shows for television and stage productions across North America, including Broadway. He has orchestrated everything from small jazz combos to symphony orchestras, and is credited with writing over 60 professionally produced musicals in a 34 year career. His most recent creation, ROB ROY, premiered this past summer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has performed extensively with such artists as Maureen Forrester, Jeff Hyslop, Mark Dubois, Michael Burgess, Jackie Richardson, Louise Pitre, … and … the remarkable Matt Cassidy! David is the founding conductor of the Canada Pops Orchestra.

Mentor Project - In Concert With Matt Cassidy and David Warrack

Creative Team:

Matt Cassidy, David Warrack, Sarah Cassidy, Sean Hilderley, Neil Saxby and Kevin Hicks. 

 The Mentoring Project will involve daily, after-school sessions during the week of January 15 to January 21, 2007 focusing on various aspects of theatre arts. The project is in cooperation with Theatre Woodstock and CAST, and we hope to involve 30 performers and 12 technicians. The young technicians will work alongside of and learn from our experienced technicians, while the performers will be part of the concert.  Participants will be 13 – 19 years of age.
