The BREAD Camping Page: CampFest 1999

[ElRoY's Pitching a Tent... huh huh...] ElRoY seemed to know what he was doing with his hands here. At least the tent was up after... heh heh.
ElRoY... he's being a typical guy: once he had his way with the tent, he was asleep in an instant. [ElRoY's All Worn Out]
[The Ladies' Man] Here's a nice picture of my tent. Too bad BoB got in the way. Heh heh... but really, I think he was posing for Field and Stream or something.
Here's ElRoY with his new girlfriend. He's still with her too... I guess he likes punishment... heh heh. As you can see, just like before, he's showing off his classic drinking pose. [The Classic ElRoY Pose]
[Eehhhhh!] Someone got hold of my camera and took this nice shot of ElRoY. I believe he was doing the Fonzie-noise. You know, the one where the Fonz puts his thumbs up in the air and says "Eehhhh!" Nevermind... :) As for why he was on the picnic table like that... I don't know, and I'm sure I don't want to know...
Argh... AchKmeD!! Put that away with the rest of you in the tent. [Hmm... nice ass, AchKmeD]
[Ya, the fire's hot AchKmeD] Well... I hate to admit it, but AchKmeD still hasn't learned that he's not supposed to play with fire. Just wait 'til next year. You'll see he still hasn't learned. Oh, by the way, that's AchKmeD's girlfriend sitting to the left of the picture. They're still together... poor AchKmeD. Heh heh...
We told AchKmeD that if he could take the label off his beer in one piece that it'd mean he's a virgin. We knew he wasn't (and so did Heather, look at her face...), but it was fun to watch. The things we do when we're drinking. LOL! [Zzzzz....]
[The beginning of the yearly Ritual.] There's a story behind this picture. It goes way back to 1996, the first year of CampFest. I believe BoB, AchKmeD and I were sitting around the fire one night and we were bored. I'd made the comment that I didn't feel like taking all the empty boxes back home with me at the end of the trip, so we came up with a solution... not knowing how much fun it'd be, and that we'd still be doing it to this day. Ha ha ha... I remember throwing the box on a blazing fire that first year and realizing how amazingly dark it became after the flames were covered. I guess the people across the gravel road from us thought we'd went to bed. Not so. The next picture will show you a similar result...
Here's what it looks like when the fire finally gets through the cardboard. The neighbours back in 1996 saw something different though. Since the box takes part in the illuminating of the site (and area around us) on top of the already blazing fire, the result was a fire so bright that we could see everything around us... just like daytime. The neighbours were caught off guard in their tents by this huge increase in light and started yelling at us. LOL!! What fun. Ya ya ya... so simple things amuse us. *grin* [The typical ending of the Ritual]
[Not something you see too often...] Okay, to try to keep to the theme of the last picture being scenery, here's a neat one. If you look at the sky in the left of the picture, there's a huge pile of rain coming. Luckily for us, it went parallel to us and travelled west along the beach. Now... look at the sky to the right of the picture, it's still bright and sunny. Neat, huh? That's what a small thunderstorm cell looks like. If I remember right, we had a whole pile of those go around us the entire week. I don't believe that it rained on us at all. :)
