Welcome to the British Connection. Originally established in 1973, we are one of Canada's original stockists of British model trains, diecast buses and commercial vehicles, and all types of related accessories.

For over forty years, Pat and I have been operating The British Connection, with the help of our sons Michael and James. We started it twenty years prior to my retirement from the Canadian government, originally offering repairs for model locomotives, and gradually branching out into new British locos, rolling stock, and accessories. Since then, we've been fortunate to serve many fellow enthusiasts from across Canada, the US, and in fact, from around the world - there are British modellers everywhere, it seems. We try to find new and interesting products that aren't usually available on this side of the Atlantic - we often take the opportunity to visit with manufacturers in Britain, meeting them at a number of different trade shows, including the big British Toy and Hobby Association show held in London, which we've attended regularly for many years. As a result, we've forged many great relationships with dealers and manufacturers, many of whom we consider friends.

We deal with many of our customers by mail-order, and are thrilled when we can also meet them in person at the many model railway and hobby shows that we attend, or at our semi-annual open houses. We do our very best to provide "old-fashioned" customer service. We try to carry a wide range of products from the top manufacturers, and to keep as many items as possible in-stock, for quick service. For those items we don't have on-hand, we're happy to special order them, and to get them for you as soon as we can. We ship using the best combination of economy and speed, and will try to minimize shipping costs whenever possible. We do our best to offer items that you won't find everywhere else - obsolete and discontinued Tri-ang Hornby parts and UK-made Graham Farish, microdetailing accessories from smaller specialty manufacturers, and every type of accessory for 'N', 'OO/HO', 'O', and narrow gauge modellers. 

In short, we like to think that we offer almost everything a modeller could imagine, the details that make all the difference.
