The latest rumour from www.aint-it-cool-news.com: Todd McFarlane mentioned that they are going to do the sequel to the Bob and Doug McKenzie movie Strange Brew... apparently with McFarlane acting as an Exec-Producer, it's gonna happen... we'll have to see on that one. |

Thursday, January 20, 2000 SPAWN 2 and HOME BREW news... Hey folks, Harry here... Well seems like there's a draft in on that SPAWN II movie... Spies you have now been officially alerted to acquire said draft for disection. It sounds like they have the right attitude... less effects, more story... but that's a noble sentiment... execution is another thing. As for the idea of bringing on David Fincher... Well gosh... let's have Ed Norton play Terry. :) Hey Harry... I live in Calgary Alberta, Canada and while I was home sick last week, I happened to catch one of our daytime talkshows. Anyhoo, the guest was Calgary's own Todd "Spawn" McFarlane....amidst the talking about his baseball collection and toys, he mentioned two things...one, the script for the Spawn sequel is done, and that they are going for a very urban gritty police drama....very low on effects, very heavy on story. Also that they are going to shoot for an "R" rating, and mentioned they would like someone like David Fincher to direct. He also mentioned that they are going to do the sequel to the Bob and Doug Mackenzie movie Strange Brew...aptly titled "Home Brew"...now, I heard that Home Brew was definatly a no-go, but apparently with McFarlane acting as an Exec-Producer, it's gonna happen....we'll have to see on that one. Until next time, Draven. |
