The Ansler Grid can be useful for monitoring your central vision. It can be used to check for abmormalities in vision or to keep track of existing problems.
How to use an Ansler Grid
- Cover one eye with the palm of your hand
- Have the Grid about 14 inches from you.
- Look at the dot in the center of the grid, do not let your vision wander over the rest of the grid
What to look for
- Look for wavy or distorted lines
- Uneven or different sized boxes
- Missing or "invisible" parts of the grid
