| OUR MISSION STATEMENT: |
The Belvoir Co-operative Nursery School will create an environment in which parents and teachers work together to provide quality care and early childhood education. The needs, rights and concerns of the children, parents and teacher will be given equal emphasis to create an atmosphere conducive to learning. |
OUR PHILOSOPHY: |
A co-operative nursery school brings parents and children together to share happy and enriching experiences. Parents and teachers are continually learning as they work together to find ways to achieve these goals. It is Belvoir Co-op Nursery School’s philosophy that all children will have the opportunity to experience quality programming in a stimulating environment. This is enhanced through the co-operative efforts of staff, community resource people and parental involvement. |
OUR OBJECTIVE: |
Our objective is to establish and maintain a high quality early learning experience for pre-school aged children and to implement, manage and supervise a carefully prepared program for the physical, intellectual, social and emotional development of pre-school aged children.
This main objective can best be accomplished by providing children with opportunities to:
|
• | Participate in activities that match their individual stage of development. |
| • | Build self-confidence by developing a sense of responsibility and problem solving skills. |
| • | Interact with a variety of peers, the teacher, volunteers, staff and other parents. |
A child learns most easily when he/she is motivated, when he/she is doing, and when we are consistent in our approach to learning

| "A CO-OPERATIVE NURSERY SCHOOL" |
You will be disappointed in nursery school if you expect your child to: |
 | Say their ABC's |
 | Learn their 1,2,3's |
 | Recite Poetry |
 | Perform and Please |
 | Bring home daily artistry |
You will be pleased with your nursery school when you see that your child is able to: |
 | Come to school with a smile |
 | Say “Bye, Mom and Dad see you in a while.” |
 | Learn, discover and explore, |
 | Themselves, their world and even more |
 | Problem solve, make new friends |
 | Not want to leave at school’s end. |
