DUTY DAYS/SNACK
Duty days are your most direct contribution to the children and the membership. On your duty day, you are responsible for helping in the classroom for the morning and will provide a nutritious snack and/or juice for the children. At Belvoir, duty days are scheduled on a rotation basis with each member receiving a schedule. You may request days that fit your personal timetable. It depends on how many children are enrolled in the program as to how often you will be scheduled for a duty day.

FUNDRAISING
Various fundraisers are held throughout the year including selling Regal, muffin/cookie dough, meat pies, etc. All members are responsible for raising a predetermined amount during the school year or they can choose to add an additional fee per month to the tuition in lieu of fundraising.
|
EVENTS
In addition to fundraising parents are required to participate in up to three major fundraising events per year. These include Bingos and Catering events. All families are asked to participate in our major fundraiser - The Trike-a-thon. |
TOY CLEANING
Parents are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting selected toys monthly. Two or three parents are scheduled per month. Ideally each member will only have clean toys once a year, but this will vary with the total number of members.
|
MEETINGS
General meetings are held every couple of months throughout the school year. General meetings allow parents the opportunity to share ideas and contribute to the general functioning of the school. Babysitting is provided.
|
EXECUTIVE
Executive members include President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Bingo Representatives. The Belvoir Executive is vital in the functioning of the school and parents are welcome to participate in one of these positions.
|
VOLUNTEER AND COMMITTEE WORK
Parent members are encouraged to help out with odd jobs or volunteer opportunities as requested throughout the year. Helping with tasks such as general maintenance, yard clean up or donations are a few of the many ways parents can fulfill the co-operative philosophy of Belvoir. Both small and large contributions are equally important and appreciated.
