Pain is a lonely island. desolate barren battered by winds of anguished torment. Visited only by forlorn castaways flung forcefully...unwillingly. torn and battered onto its rocky shore Not a tropical paradise nor fertile oasis... not a refuge nor calm and placid bay. But a hellspot of misery... ugliness unimaginable to one fortunate enough to have eluded its jagged coastline Ah...but there in the distance. Struggling against all odds bravely battling onward through gentle waves of hope like a flickering light on a dark horizon a ship of healing valiantly wends its way offering rescue and hope to the abandoned the weary and worn With sails unfurled by the gentle breezes of hope it glides across calm waters into a sunset of soothing peace a haven of serenity by © Barbara A.
