CHILDHOOD DREAMS
Laughing children building castles
Molding dreams with sodden sand
Never worried ‘bout tomorrow
Or the problems of the land.
Oh! To be a child again!
To look at life through trusting eyes
Recapturing sweet innocence
And blocking anguish, fears and lies...
Yet childhood comes but once in life
And we're too young to know
The simple truths, the lack of strife
We simply want to grow
And little do we realize
That growing never stops
For when we're old we still build dreams
We just use different props.
