DON'T YOU THINK THAT WE MAKE A GOOD PAIR?
There are times when I feel all my strength has been drained
And I ache for someone who will care
When I pour out the fears and frustrations I feel
Or I lay my emotions bare.
You're the one special person I seek for refuge
You're the one that I'd trust with my soul.
You're the drink that refreshes my life-ravaged thirst
And your loving once more makes me whole.
For when you hold me close I can shut out the world
And forget there are problems and pain.
When your warm lips touch mine I'm ecstatic with joy;
I'm fulfilled and I'm strong once again.
You're my pillar of strength, you are salve to my wounds,
You're my sun on an overcast day.
You're the song in my heart, you're the spring in my step,
You're my guide when my dreams go astray.
And it's funny, you know, for when you're feeling low
And it's my turn to shelter, to care;
All my weakness subsides. I can be strong for you.
Don't you think that we make a good pair?
