The Dexter Cow is a dual purpose annimal originating from Northen Ireland. Their small size, hardiness, high quality milk and meat made them an ideal candidate to be lodead on boats when immigrating to Canada. They have a robust immune system and do not need antibiotics or grain to thrive in pasture. Thay also have a very good temperament making them the perfect family cow.
At daleholme farms our cows are pasture fed only. No grains or hormones are fed to our animals. We recently started growing aboriginal prairie grass on our farm.
Our meat is tasty and low in fat.
