Society Profile Room
Our Society's first formal
activities began with an annual family reunion, held at Courtland ON., Canada, in 1980. We
could go even farther back in history to Nov 11, 1973; when the Clarence Cook (50) family
[led by Walter Andrew Cook (183) and Maxine (Wingrove) Cook (184)] held the 1st annual
COOK family reunion at Courtland ON Canada - with an attendance of 52. This Annual Reunion
continues to be held annually (in 1998). We can even go farther back in time to 1906, when
the first known COOK Family Reunion was held at the home of Congressman Samuel A Cook
(3817), in Neenah WI USA. We can also refer to the work of Eileen & Johnny Houser
(2438 & 2439) in the 1960, culminating with the 1967 Cook Reunion at Bingeman Park,
Kitchener ON.; and publishing of the work "The ANDREW COOK Genealogy" 1970
edition. However our current lengthy and constant labours began in 1980.
