Comments: From a message (also forwarded to Reunion co-ord)

Kathy and Fred Just spent 5 hours perusing the CKK and the potential is there for grabbing all types of interest from the COOK parents and their siblings also. When I joined as a director in 1994; it was a hesitant venture with CD encrypting of ECHOES that was not going to happen. But now GPS locations in cemeteries and direct family photo submissions via the WEB is the direction of the future. Even digitized sound will allow you to give voice to all the Acres via the Net. Plus board meetings for ACGS members across N America could have a linked cyber conference sitting in front of their computer at home or office. No more 2 hours behind the wheel to Tillsonburg and 2 hours return etc if you get my wave.

With this cyberspace connection you could think of ways to entice the new younger generations to attend the Millennium 2000 reunion with their parents. The trouble I've had is my 3 children are 16, 13, 10 and not into genealogy while my cousin Susan age 28 is actively searching into her father's (Auty) gene tree. My youngest said to me; why doesn't the ACGS hold a word search from clues given through out their web and offer a reward or prizes for the correct name/year/age or answer. He would come to the reunion with my laptop to search for it. I wonder how many other (COOK) families have the same problem in bringing the whole family to a reunion with children at such an awkward age.
I will be in touch before May 15 with some more thoughts about Mill 2000. YT.... Bruce Cook (41)
