WE WE WERE READY
TO PUBLISH The Complete Echoes (TCE) - 7 ea Vols 4 to 10 in
2007 However as you can see from the following message, there was insufficient interest to open clan cousins pocket books - even to pay for basic publishing costs $200.00 per 7 vol set. Therefore, it is with a great deal of trepidation that we even release these very special archives (See note below) to selected direct descendants. Suffice to say, "THERE WILL BE NO MORE RELEASES OF ANY OF THE RESEARCH COMPLETED AND ARCHIVED BY US OVER THE PAST 4 PLUS DECADES" - so don't ask! If we cannot publish the 7 remaining volumes of data in hand (as noted in the message below), releasing any further parts at this juncture would make it even less likely that TCE could ever be published in the future. So we (Kathy & I) are left with well over a $50,000.00 debt accrued in more then 4 decades of personal research labours in these works. The complete project (equipment, data, library, files etc. - ie. our total holdings in "the Outback") will be passed on to the care and custody of Karen (Cook) Partlo 203 - she is now the official understudy to us. Her charge is to continue the work as she sees fit. Perhaps - one day Karen can obtain the necessary orders to make the project financially viable and at least recoup some of our loss - and also to the benefit of many clan cousins. As of this date there are over 250,00 clan cousins included in TCE - reaching back to the pre-Christian era. Signed - Fred Cook RN 198 ============================================================== File:- wkg 282 - GY Orders 31 Dec 2007 File:- wkg 282 - GY Orders To cousins who ordered TCE and ACGS Board of Directors This is to inform you that - in spite of our collective labours over the past few years - we have not obtained a sufficient number of orders for these collective works to come anywhere close to a viable production project. Therefore, we thank you for your interest and will be returning your funds to you ASAP in the new year. THE PROJECT IS HEREBY CLOSED and no orders will be accepted hereafter. As previously informed, 200 sets were the minimum to begin production - 23 sets (with 12 being paid for by Fred & I), certainly indicates that there is absolutely no chance of this project ever becoming viable.Wishing all , the best of 2007. The original negatives and/or pixs are held in the "the Village" COOK'S KOZY KORNERS 2 Village Archives. Enjoy these treasures and please remember that you are invading our cousin clan members and ancestors privacy and therefore WE should always respect the confidence of those who have entrusted these treasures to us - treat them accordingly. You have no idea of the strange feelings that passed over me (Fred Cook 198) as I set alone in our "Outback" in "the Village" preparing and indexing these archives. I look at the pictures and as I record the notes from the obverse of same I wonder what B was thinking and doing when they were written during his lonely tour of duty in a terrible war zone a half a century ago and half a world away. I can almost feel his presence beside me saying, "thank you for a job well done." To imagine what these pictures meant to V when received in their Toronto ON CAN home - knowing them both so well and feeling such a strong love for both of them, I really feel an abiding association with them - I hope this also brings you a little closer to your memories of them. RE THE COLLECTION Pix 276 to 346 are From B's tour of military service with the USA Special Services Branch, during WW2. He was employed as a Millwright - working on the Oil Wells and distribution facilities in the Middle East. Obivously a very dangerous location since without Oil, the alied forces mchinery would grind to a halt. So "the enemy" was constantly trying very hard to disrupt these supply lines. However, as you will see, there was also some time for R&R. Where there are notes on the obverse, we have added them to the Pix number/name - these may give you some indication of where he travelled on R&R. We have attempted to retrieve the best image possible - so please forgive the quality ( however 43 & 186 were deleted as not a good immage).

You need only think of the value to you, if you could look backwards through a couple of centuries to your direct ancestors - perhaps to some it would mean little, to others it would be invaluable. K&F Cook 199 & 198. Preserving
