THE TOPIC is LIQUIDATION of CURRENT INVENTORY in PREPARATION for
"THE COMPLETE WORKS - Echoes Vol 4 to 10" of the Andrew Cook Genealogical Society

LIQUIDATION of STOCK
Replies indicate that we have almost nil chance of liquidating the stock of Echoes Vol 1 & 2.
Bob & Emmie Sternitzky can place 1 more set
Ray & Nancy Cook and the US team will try to place a few more at forthcoming reunions.

CONCLUSION - we shall discuss this topic no more unless someone else wishes to do so.

PREPARATION for "THE COMPLETE WORKS - Echoes Vol 4 to 10"

Since by our constitution, nil returns are considered as a YES vote, there was a 100% vote to proceed with these volumes.

Therefore, please find brief information below on the current plans to produce Vols 4 to 10

Plan for Vol 6 to 10 - "Echoes Revisited" - in brief

Vol 4 & 5 - "Echoes Revisited"
Echoes from Andrew and Anna updated - there has been a lot of information added since vol 1, 2 & 3 were published - for one thing ANNA PALMER's ancestry has been traced to the 1500s - and many more such examples; there is already plenty of data to make these two volumes very interesting and worthy of any family archives. With a cutoff data for receiving data of Dec 2008 and the help of all of you between now and 2008 we can continue to improve on these vols.

Vol 6 - "Echoes Revisited"
Will include biographical sketches, tall tales, well known persons, military honour roll, Mayflower descendants & pioneers, criminals, strange events, multiple births, ACGS executive - board and family reps etc. from founding, researchers who have contributed, and any suggestions you have that seem worthwhile - send them along.

Vol 7 - "Echoes Revisited"
Will consist of pedigrees and associated data.

Vol 8 - "Echoes Revisited"
Will consist of SHOD branch data (Somerville Hetherington Obrien Doige) - similar to above.

Vol 9 - "Echoes Revisited"
Will include ACGS Holdings and indexes (including indexes, sources and cross references for all volumes - ties it all [incl. Vol 10] together) - and indexes and notes for ACGS Library Sections:- Artifacts, Audio, Books, Charts, Genealogies, PIX [see vol 10 also], Publications [incl. Copies of Newsletters published], Reference manuals, Videos - and an TOTAL alpha index.

Vol 10 - "Echoes Revisited"
The total picture [PIX] including the actual pictures and indexes tying them all to the above vols. - there are now over 300,000 on file - and with your help, we may be able to come a little closer to the stated objective of have in 3 pictures of each cousin [1 baby, 1mid age, 1 elderly] - these pictures will also be inserted with the data in the applicable vols above - obviously much of this information will be on CD/ROMs.

Under discussion - to include the software and the database [c/w security key to the purchaser] for these volumes - you comments are welcome.

These volumes have already been allotted ISBNs and we will seek LCNs.
Production is planned for 250 sets - 200 for pre-sale at $200.00 Canadian (with the understanding that when we have the products assembled, we can more closely advise cost) and 50 set for donations to libraries and the legal requirements of National Library and the LofC.

COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER COUSINS in your circle - we see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity, hopefully others will to [2 cousins (and many helpers) have devote 3 decades plus to this work - it may be a while before it happens again]. Collect in the orders and send them along, we'll do the documentation. Remember, NOTHING WILL BE PRINTED UNTIL WE HAVE 200 ORDERS IN HAND.

GATHER IN YOUR FAMILY DATA updates - remember the cutoff of Dec 2008, include pictures, bios and anything that will fit in the items mentioned above - encourage others to do the same. [all items will be returned, if requested]

I personally thank you in advance for your assistance, we cannot complete this without it. You will no doubt agree that this is a large project for Kathy & I (at this end). I am now 70 and by the time I am 80 I think a bit of a slow down is deserved - I'd like to complete this first - please help.
