Q: Is a golden retriever the right kind of dog for our family?
A: If you want a dog that will not shed, then you should not get a golden. If you want a good watch dog, then you should not get a golden. If you want a dog that will be happy to just sit around the house, then you should not get a golden. If you want a intelligent family pet that is outstanding with kids and adults alike and will love you unconditionally for many years, then a golden may be the right dog for you.

Q: I see purebred golden retrievers on sale for only a few hundred dollars, why is there such a large price difference in dogs!
A: Being a purebred dog, really does not mean that much in itself. What is MUCH more important is that the parents (and their parents and so on) have been checked for problems that might be common for a particular breed. A respectable breeder will have their breeding stock checked and found to be clear of problems in the hips/elbows/eyes...People that buy a cheap dog very often end up paying many hundreds (or even thousands) more to fix it than if they had simply bought a quality dog in the first place. The same is true of temperament.

Q: Why do I care if the parents are Canadian Champions?
A: In some sense if you are not planning on showing the dogs then you really don’t. What this does mean is that at least three judges of international stature have found these dogs to be excellent representatives of the breed standard.

Q: Do you give a health guarantee?
A: Yes, all of our puppies are guaranteed for three years against genetic disorders.
