What is Videoconferencing?

Videoconferencing is a way of conducting a meeting without having all parties involved in the same room. The meeting participants actually talk 'virtually' as opposed to face-to-face.

For example a client and his or her family can sit in the videoconferencing site in Owen Sound, a consultant can sit in the site in Woodstock and another professional can sit in the site in Walkerton and all three will be able to see and speak to one another using the videoconferencing equipment.

Each site has a video camera on top of a television monitor that sends and receives the signals from the other two sites simultaneously, thus allowing a 'real time video call'.
