nights at the circus | |||||||||
| after finding a book by angela carter in the delete bin at a bookstore entitled "nights at the circus", i created this series to try to visualize some of the astonishing imagery she presented. the story of a young reporter who joins a circus as a clown to uncover the secret of a trapeze artist with wings (fake, or no?), it made me think about appearances of things, and deeper symbolisms behind those appearances. it also made me question why we laugh at things like clowns. | ||||||||||
