My lists of hotels, restaurants and other places of interests.
Please Note: My list of places listed here I have either stayed at or in some way enjoyed a visit, had a tour or enjoyed a meal. So I will add them to the list as time permits.
For additional information at the bottom of the page. -

Torreblanca Condominiums - Puerto Marques
So January 1987 rolled around and we were on our way to Acapulco or should I say just outside of Acapulco at Puerto Marques Bay. We had tried to book and exchange Time Share downtown or better yet on the main Costera in Acapulco but they could not find an exchange. So we booked in Torreblanca Condominiums.

La Cabana - Acapulco
This cozy eatery has impressed visitors and locals with its fresh seafood since the 1950s. Here you can enjoy the traditional Mexican cuisine, they're the house specialty. The steaming seafood casserole and curried shrimp sautéed in garlic and sea salt also win raves.

Romano Palace Hotel
The Romano Palace Hotel in front of Condesa Beach, 10 minutes drive from the convention center, in the best tourist and services area of Acapulco. the hotel offers ocean front rooms with air conditioning, color cable TV, a swimming pool, restaurants, bar, safety deposit boxes, travel agency, car rental desk, free parking, a tobacco shop, room service and meeting rooms.

Alba Suits Hotel
What can I say about the Alba Suites? Let me go back to the winter of 1989-90 and wow do they bring back memories. We had been to Acapulco a few times as a husband and wife but never as a family. Well that year we wanted to go as a family and keep it a surprise to the children.

Nina's Tropical Dance Club & Show
The advertisements for Nina's read "Nina's is one of Acapulco's premier Latin dance Clubs playing a combination of Salsa, Cumbia, and Merengue. It offers a night of Carnival with a show latin dance spectacular taking place every night at 1am. So far we have not been disappointed.

Hotel Boca Chica Acapulco
Here is a place that I had looked at for some time and even emailed the Boca Chica ones to inquire about the cost of staying there. Of course unless one was to drive to Mexico and then book a hotel it's hard to beat the all inclusive package price we can get back in Canada. So I have not stayed, but if you love seafood, well then you have come to the right place.

Panoramic Acapulco
Well here we go again. I have lost count of how many times I have been to Acapulco but for some reason I fell in love with the place many years ago. Well this winter, 2002, we are planning on going back to Acapulco and we will once again stay at the Panoramic. We stayed there back in January 2000 and we had the time of our lives.

Hotel Los Flamingos, Acapulco, México
The Los Flamingos hotel was build in the 1930 and is highly recommended by local and foreign visitors since 1936. Now we did not stay at this hotel ut with all it's history one must go for a visit when coming to Acapulco. We visited here in 2003.

Grand Meigas Acapulco Resort
For the many years we have been going to Acapulco I always wanted to stay at the Grand Meigas Acapulco Resort. Originally it was called the Caleta Hotel after the beach I think. Back in the 50's all the movie stars and anyone that was anyone would stay there. So I wanted to stay there. Have a look at the Grand Meigas Acapulco Resort.

Additional information

I was first introduced to Acapulco by my good friend Max Scott, back in April of 1985. But it only took one trip to make me fall in love with this jewel. The following January I took my wife Jane, her brother Tony and his wife Norma and personally showed them why I was always talking about this wonderful vacation spot.

Since then I have been back almost every year and a couple of years I was there in January and again in April, so I have been there about 20 times or so. The first year we stayed at the Acapulco Tortuga, but since then I have stayed at few different hotels. I will give you some of my personal experiences at the hotels and the people that I meet. However as we all know a place that we fall in love with one year we may not like the next time we go back. Did you ever ask someone to join you for a meal at a restaurant you just loved, but when you took your friends, you had one of the worst meals ever? Well the same can happen said of the places we stay at or visit. So regardless of the place you stay at may I be the best ever.

So don't just take my word for it check with your travel agent or surf the internet. One of the websites that I have been checking out for information on hotels in Acapulco is www.acapulco.com

So the following links are to places that I either stayed at or had a visit or inspection as a travel consultant. So I hope that the information will be helpful and enjoyable.

Just a couple more things to remember are; one this is written for your enjoyment only and two I'm writing this in 2005 so some of the things are written from memory of an enjoyable time.
