Hi! If
you're just tuning in , my name is Wayne Michiels , and
welcome to my web site. l started collecting radios back in the
1980's when
my long time friend Ron Ledoux gave me my first radio, a Philco 70
cathedral . lt needed a new grille and some wood work but l like
doing that
sort of thing . l've always liked old things like cars , toys etc ,
but
that radio got me hooked and now l am a radio addict, and l need a
fix from
time to time. l have about 200 sets and l am always looking for more
. lf

l like
trading and meeting people from all over the world.
A few years ago my friend Ron & I did a
show at a museum . We
featured about 300 sets for about 3 months. lt was a lot of fun , and
drew
people from all over .
My interests are Catalins, Battery Sets ,
Crystal Sets , Tube
Novelties , Beatled Plastics and anything unique . l have been a
member of
the London Vintage Radio Club and ARC for quite some time and as a
collector , a club is a must , not only for information but for
meeting new
friends and finding that radio fix !!
Yard sales are a good place to find
radios as well . My wife and two
children and l like doing yard sales on Saturday mornings . lt's
amazing
what can be found in someone's junk heap ! The best part of my hobby
is the
restoration . Taking something that looks like it's ready for the
dump and
restoring it to its original condition is very rewarding to me
personally !
