MISSION STATEMENT

LIFE*SPIN Women's Resource Centre is an organization dedicated to providing information and support for women surviving on low incomes. LIFE*SPIN Women's Resource Centre strives to support the empowerment and self-development of these women in their efforts to attain self-sufficiency

OBJECTIVES

In order for the community to do a more effective job of meeting women's needs we, the low income consumers, need to work to remove the barriers which disenfranchise women from full participation in out community. LIFE*SPIN Women's Resource Centre endeavours to assist women in breaking the cycle of poverty.

World March of Women 2000
     This march will take place on October 15, 2000 in Washington D.C. and in Ottawa, Canada.  The purpose of the march is to show the world that supporters of women's rights are the overwhelming majority.
     The demand is to:
1. Eliminate poverty and ensure a fair distribution of the planet's wealth between rich and poor, and between men and women
2. Eliminate violence against women, and
3. Ensure equality between women and men
