More trouble brewing for 'Strange Brew' --------------------------------------- By BOB THOMPSON - Toronto Sun MEG Media Group is suing Dave Thomas' Maple Palm Productions for $6 million, citing defamation, slander and punitive damages. Thomas is prepared to launch a US$20-million lawsuit for damages and compensation against MEG. What's going on? The Toronto-based film production of the McKen- zie Brothers' Home Brew, a Strange Brew sequel, was shut down last month when Thomas said he thought certain money arrangements weren't in place. MEG said the company broke off a tentative settlement with Maple Palm recently. Both sides will be in court next month to decide who owes who what.
